Paul Krugman : Alien invasion could help economy

A leading American economist thinks an invasion by extraterrestrials could save our economy.

Paul Krugman, the New York Times columnist and Nobel Prize winner, presented this idea in the CNN show 'GPS' before.

Krugman said: "When we found out that aliens are planning to attack us, we would need a massive structureto fight the aliens. Inflation and budget deficits would then in second place. The crisis would be over within 18 months. "

With his idea, he was referring to an episode of horror series "The Twilight Zone ', where an invasion by alienscientists pretended to achieve world peace. However, Krugman said, "Now we need something like this to stimulate economic stimulus programs."
