It is an unsolved mystery, before capitulating to science so far: In none of the thousands of undergroundfacilities grave and pyramid transitions traces of soot were found, although they have been edited to moreaccurately and frequently painted artistically perfect. The Egyptians available lamps - candles, torches, oillamps - but inevitably produce soot (and use up more oxygen). So how did the Egyptians have brought intolight? Some "rationalists" were trying to explain this by mirrors seasons. Due to the constant movement of the sun and the poor quality of the polished copper plates, which could be used by the Egyptians for this purposeonly, you can rule this out, however.
