Are Aliens a threat to mankind - are aliens hostile ?

Can it be that higher life forms and their social structures always strive for a peaceful state? That wars and exploitation continue to speak, only a short or long time and then always go at some point in this "peaceful coexistence"? Or are they hostile?
What company could already get their prosperity if they would be always in conflict?
If one equates conflicts (consumption increased resources, high "human" losses and related tragedies in the social sector, loss of industrial productivity for the prosperity, etc ...) with an excited state of the conflicting parties and assumes that a society is always a state seeking, where possible, much energy goes into his own interests,
appears that it is not possible that there are very few or no aggressive alien?
After all, we see the moment of our own world order, which aspires to a state of maximum productivity and this is in contrast to the past, soon reached (capitalism). It's more fruitful to operate with an alien race or even a foreign country, trade, opening up new markets and so on. As to weaken this through wars.
Still a hypothesis at the end: Suppose there are 70% peaceful civilizations that grant by alliances of mutual protection, but then the remaining 30% have aggressive little chance of extending its sphere of influence, on the contrary, they are probably isolated further and weakened so that .
