On July 19 the evening, five relatives of light luminous spheres flying over the city are seen by many people. At 11:40 p.m., seven echoes appear on the radar screens of the base of Andrews near Washington, echoes shortly after confirmed visually. Their speed ranges from 160 to nearly 500 km / h, with acceleration to speeds above Mach 10. The radar echoes are confirmed by the city airport and air bases around. Soon after, fighter Lockheed F-94 Starfire are sent, and their pilots confirm the presence of the spheres and their variations in speed. Around 2am, other fighters arrive and other light balls, one of which follows an airliner for a while. The "game" between UFOs and the fighters will continue until 5 am, at which the phenomenon ceases. It has been observed by many residents as well as the pilot visually and by radar operators of the Washington National Airport and air bases close to Bolling and Andrews.
The phenomenon will resume the night of July 26 to 27, and to a lesser extent than the 2 to 3 August. Each time it is confirmed visually and on radar by civilian and military ground and in the air.
A photo shows the now famous Capitol flown by a dozen balls of light, but it turns out that these lights are just a reflection on the lens, lamp posts of the Capitol.
