Atlantis - The lost Island- Gods or Aliens?

Atlantis is a mythical island kingdom of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato (427-347 BC) the first mentioned and described. According to Plato it was a naval power, which has based its "beyond the Pillars of Hercules" subjected to several main island of large parts of Europe and Africa. After a failed attack on Athens, Atlantis is finally about 9600 BC as a result of a natural disaster within "a single day and an unfortunate night have been" lost. Was this island destroyed by nature, humans or maybe an extraterrestrial power? Or were the inhabitants themselves aliens?
